Why Use It?
Powerade ION4 is an isotonic sports drink containing the minerals your body loses during sweat, including sodium; when you drink Powerade ION4, its minerals encourage your body to absorb fluid and maintain fluid balance. You’re replacing carbohydrates too, so your working muscles are supplied with fuel and you’re able to sustain your physical and mental performance when you exercise.
When Should I Use It?
Without realising, you may not be drinking enough to restore your fluid balance after working out. If you’re exercising at a high intensity for more than 30 minutes, or for more than 60 minutes at any intensity, we recommend drinking Powerade ION4 to help prevent dehydration, and supply fuel rapidly to working muscles to sustain performance. For more information on how to time your hydration, visit our Hydration Gudelines page.
To help your fight against dehydration, Powerade ION4 comes in three different flavours and, unlike water, it doesn’t switch your thirst receptors off prematurely. In other words, it keeps you feeling thirsty until you’re properly rehydrated.
